How is Coast Live Tropicals’ potting mix better for the environment? |

Most potting mixes use sphagnum peat as their main ingredient. But picking sphagnum peat is extremely damaging to the environment, leaving the harvested area looking like it’s been clear cut.
Coast Live Tropicals’ coco peat is a by-product of crushed husks of coconuts, so there is no damage to the environment. Coco peat also holds water more effectively than sphagnum peat, is cleaner, and is naturally resistant to a variety of diseases. |
